Urban clothes seem to be the hottest trend at the moment, a lot of women are starting to wear more trainers and baggy shirts and T-shirts. There has always been the odd women who likes to wear more urban clothes, however in this recent period it seems that a lot of women are being inspired from the Urban clothing scene a lot of women are opting to wear heavy trainers with a stylish dress, which once would of been seen as a a hideous fashion attempt. My memory of the first women to wear trainers and a dress was Lily allen, however at this time most women would not of had the courage to wear this style of outfit, this goes back to 2010 when Lily Allen stepped out with her pretty dresses and heavy trainers. However fast forward two to three years and everyone seems to be catching on, wearing more casual footwear with fancy outfits. Rihanna is one of the most influential musicians at the moment, and whatever she seems to be wearing; her fans seem to get inspired quickly by her fashion style. Jourdan Dunn and Cara Delevingne are two of the most popular new fashion models of the decade at the moment, and these two beauties are often seen in their choice of cool urban clothes and striking fresh trainers.

       

I have also noticed that where you choose to party and rave, reflects the style that you wear once your out. For example in Bristol if you attend club venues at Motion which is a underground rave, women are more likely to wear urban clothing rather than high heels and a fancy dress. Motion is a rave which is mostly popular due to the music scene, and the casual atmosphere that it has when people attend the rave. I have myself always loved trainers, I have recently purchased some Neon Pink Supra bright trainers.

The trailer for Naomi Campbell The Face UK, went live today. The trailer is pretty short and sweet, and it keeps us guessing to know a bit more about how her model show will go. Well known model Erin O’Connor and also  Caroline Winberg will be judges on The Face UK show. Naomi Campbell The Face US show was a huge hit, and she did really well to find new beautiful talented top models. Naomi Campbell as a model and person inspires me so much, she is my only big idol. The reason why is because she is a powerful, striking, beautiful and confident women. Naomi Beauty was discovered at the age of 15, when she first became one of the top most wanted supermodels by the fashion world. has achieved a lot in her modeling career she was the first black women on the cover of French Vogue at 18, and the first black model on the cover of Time. At the age of  43, she has managed to maintain her fantastic figure that she had in her twenties.

Naomi Campbell was one of the seven supermodels to be the face of Interview september issue, which featured all of the top supermodels  Kate Moss,Daria Webowy, linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington and Amber Valletta. Naomi Campbell has shared her thoughts on the modelling industry in her current cover as she states “’When I started out modeling, there weren’t casting directors and there weren’t stylists, so you just dealt directly with the designer,’ she said. ‘We were all much closer back then . . . we all hung out when we weren’t working.  Naomi comments have  shown that the modelling industry, seems to have changed compared to when she first became a supermodel.

Armani Si

This week Armani released their new fragrance, Armani Si which is for women. I literally had to write a post about how beautiful this fragrance is. Firstly the bottle stands out it is shaped in a rectangle shape, with a black lid placed on top. The bottle is designed in a vintage design which adds a classical touch to this modern fragrance. The main accords on this perfume is Vanillia, Patchouli, Rose, Floral, Earthy and woody ingredients. The france opens with notes of Sicillian Bergamot, Mandarian oil and Liquer de Cassis, which is supported by a heart which burst with rose de Mai absolute. The fragrance has beautiful undertones known as Orcano. Finished with a sweet animalic accord of Vanille absolute which gives this fragrance, longevity and an unforgettable sillage.The reason I like this fragrance is because it is different compared to what Armani has previously released, the perfume is fresh and fruity and long lasting. The scent itself has a unique smell to it, I have not smelt a fragrance which has a similar smell.

Bright coloured eye liner

I have recently discovered to use bright coloured eyeliner, to brighten up you’re eyes if you have dark coloured eyes like mine. I have started to experiment with a dark green colour underneath my eyes, which certainly makes my eyes stand out a lot more,compared to usual as I have dark vampire eyes. I have also used a dark purple colour to make my eyes stand out more, and look pretty. I personally prefer the green colour I think it makes my eyes look more bold and it blends in nicely with the dark brown colour of my eyes. I have used Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner pencil, which lasts all day literally I actually struggle to take this eyeliner off because it is that great.For lighter eyes a lilac eyeliner goes well with green and blue eyes, Turquoise colour goes well with deep blue eyes and purple goes nicely with green eyes as well.

Beauty update

I have recently discovered some fabulous new products, from high end make up brands and also high street brands I thought I would share all the new products I love with you all. Firstly Urban Decay have a fabulous make up pallet, which gives you the option of twelve different shades to choose from, you can have the option of neutral lighter shades or however a darker smokey look. They have two different palettes to choose from, one is the older version which I prefer and the other is the Naked 2.  The eye shadow palettes both come with a mini eye shadow primer which allows our make up to stay on all day. So the first pallet has beautiful shades from, beige, carmel, browns, gold, grey and a beauty black/gold shade which I love. The great thing with these palettes is that they come with a eyeshadow brush which is fantastic, because the eyeshadow brushes are priced at £17.00 pounds alone.  The second palette has pretty the much similar shades, incept this palette has a variety of matte shades rather then shades with a shimmer. For example the black shade is matte without a glitter shine, compared to the black Naked has with a gold shine. Also the second palette does not have a option to blend a silver simmer shade to create a smokey eye effect.

So I have to admit Urban Decay eyeliner pencil, is the best I’ve ever tried in my life. So the reasons why this eye liner is simply so amazing, it lasts all day literally all day. Sometimes I struggle to remove it, which shows how great it is. Also its water proof, and they have a lovely variety of different shades to choose from. I have included the three I love the most, firstly Perversion is great for days when I want a dark look; this pencil is very black it creates a great compliment to a smokey eye look. The second eye pencil, which i really liked was Oil stick, because its black with a silver shimmer which is pretty and not such a dramatic dark look. The last eye pencil which is lovely is Delinquent, this shade creates a purple deep shade effect which creates a edgy chic appearance.

When buying makeup I always try out higher end products, as well as some high street pieces because sometimes, you can get great products on the budget. I recently tried sleek Be beautiful Blemish Balm, I usually prefer Mac and YSL when it comes to foundation because I’m used to these products and they give great coverage. So overall my thoughts on Sleek be beautiful balm was, there isn’t a large variety of shades to choose from, which is disappointing. There is a choice of Fair Skin, Medium skin and Dark skin. I have quite a dark complexion, however the darkest shade on high street brands never match my complexion, due to the fact that the shades are a really dark chocolate complexion. The shade which matched my complexion was the Medium shade, which was confusing because I was not sure how light the medium would be. Overall the Sleek Blemish Balm was not amazing, it never really gave my skin a great glow and it also dried my skin out quite a lot, all I can say about this product is you get what you pay for.  Dior top coat nail polish is creates a great shine on your nails, after you paint your nails with the first base shade. There is a choice between the Gel coat, which I prefer and the original Dior top coat. Dior gel coat is a lot thicker, and gives off a great shine. The Gel coat is better if, you want to make your nail polish last a lot longer. The normal top coat sets and speed dries the nail enamel. The top coat and gel coat is priced at £18.00 pounds.

VMA Style 2013

The first celebrity which caught my eye with their VMA dolled up appearance, was Taylor Swift she looked stunning when she accepted her award. Firstly she opted for a 1950s classic elegant hair do, which she paired with red lipstick and a smokey eye appearance which looked fabulous.  She wore a classic Herve Leger dress, which was long and was floor lengthen. She reminded of a modern Marilyn Monroe.Ciara never fells with her style, she can work casual streets style as well as a elegant appearance. Her dress has been referred as a “carnival queen dress”. The dress was quite revealing with, beautiful embellishment and feathered pieces. Her face make up was very neutral, which gave most of the attention on the dress. Ciara dress was designed by Givenchy couture in 2010. Coca Rocha showed off her pixie cut hairstyle in a all black, biker jacket with gold and silver embellishment and shiny black jeans. Rocha look was quite edgy, although this look is very casual for the VMA awards due to most stars standing out in their beautiful frocks.

Kathy Perry wore a dress from Emanuel Ungargo’s Fall 2013 collection, the dress is flamboyant and screams centre of attention.Kathy perry made the look more eddy, rather then elegant by having her hair styled in a slicked ponytail. she also wore diamond grills on her teeth to go along side with the look. Selena Gomaz looked stunning in her navy blue floor lengthened dress, which she complimented with her glossy brunette hair, which she wore poker straight. The dress was cut in a beautiful shape, which was quite revealing. However Selena carried off the dress in a elegant manner. She wore statement emerald green earrings to pair with the look.  Miley Cyrus caused a lot of controversy for her performance with Robin Thicke. However moving on I think her outfit she wore for the VMA awards, was noticeable and cute. She wore a two piece suit from Dolce and Gabbana. Miley Cyrus complimented the outfit with red lipstick, she wore china bumps in her hair to go with her outfit.

 

Jessica Biel looked stunning in the lace dress she wore to the VMAS, the dress was very revealing although Biel, remained elegant in her frock. She styled the dress with a Fendi purse and statement dangly earrings with her hair tied bag. Jessica’s pink/purple lipstick complimented the dress. Ellie Goulding is known for her unique punk/vintage style of clothing, she always manages to wear something unique and chic. Her VMA outfit was polished with a edge, she wore a Amato couture dress by Furne one and Brian Atwood pumps. The design of the dress was cut in a elegant shape. Everything about her outfit worked well, however a more polished look with her hair, would of worked better for her.little kim draws attention always for the wrong reasons, her one pieced outfit was not very flattering for her shape.The material of the one piece outfit clinged onto her and did nothing to flatter her curvy figure.

Zandra Rhodes

Zandra Rhodes is a talented, unique  creative  fashion designer. It has been fantastic to hear that Rhodes, plans to create a ethical collection, that will be linked with People Tree, I’m very excited to view the final collection pieces. Zandra Rhodes is known for her outrageous, loud, quirky and funky style, which makes it exciting to see the lovely pieces that she will create. There are not a lot of fair trade garments designed, anymore as there once used to be; so from this it is nice to see designers creating fair trade pieces. Zandra Rhodes studied at the same arts college that I went to, which makes me determined to reach my aspirations, she is a inspiring lady and at the age of 72 it is grat to see that she is still working on new creative projects.  Zandra Rhodes visited remote villages in Indian, to meet the people who will be growing the cotton used for her designs and printing patterns. Rhodes has stated that “ it was amazing to see the cotton growing, to see the problems farmers have”.

V Festival Style

The V festival is one of the second most talked about festivals after Glastonbury, which is why having the acknowledgment of what the fashionistas wore to the festival is important. Rita Ora is known for bold bright statement outfits, and she did not disappoint us while attending V festival; she was seen wearing Jonathan sanders printed piker jacket, which had been styled with a monochrome outfit. Rita Ora always looks glamorous and she kept her signature glamorous look up,while wearing statement red lips, and her short golden locks bob.  Cara the model of the decade looked street, she wore quite a minimal grey top with a plain black jacket. She was saw having a fresh face at the festival, one thing which stood out on her outfit, was her vintage printed trousers from Minpink.Ellie goulding looked street with a mix of chic, she accessories a dressy embellishment top with plain black shorts; and casual black trainers. Tulisa looked stunning, with her new crop hair style, which she styled with a bowler hat. Tulisa jersey with a printed letter ‘r’ was quite a minimal casual, outfit which she dressed up with the use of bold pink lipstick.Jourdan dunn, showed off her perfect set of pins in short denim jeans and a white crop top, Jourdan looked naturally beautiful. Beyonce made a bold  impression showing off her flawless skin, in a short customised body created for her performance.

Scents for the seasons

Perfume is something that is extremely important to women, every women loves to smell great. Whether its to impress her boyfriend, with her new fruity smell or to just smell fruity and sweet.   I always go on a crazy hunt, for a  new musky smell so I have decided to share my top favorite scents with all you beauties. 

Marc Jacobs Daisy

The bottle of this perfume is beautiful it screams a summertime perfect perfume, the bottle is designed in a beautiful shape; which has a pretty daisy placed on the top. The reasons why this perfume is great, is because the fragrance has a lovely scent of a warm heady mix of wild strawberry musk, violet leaves and vanilla.

Lancome La Vie Est Belle

This perfume was inspired by Julia Roberts, the scents smile is said to be the design of the pretty bottle. La Vie Est belle means “life is beautiful”, which is a cute touch to the perfume. The scent has heart notes of Iris, Orange Blossoms and jasmine. The base notes are Tonka Bean, Pralin, patchouli and Vanilla. The overall scent is floral fruity gourmand.

Chloe Chloe

Chloe Eau de Parfum is created with a mix of natural and couture materials. The bottle is made with genuine silver plating and graced with a finishing touch, a hand tied ribbon. L’occitane Cherry Blossoms

This Eau Toilette perfume is one of L’occitane best seller perfumes, the scent is really sweet and very feminine. This fragrance has a soft, fresh and floral scent to it with cherry, freesia and blackcurrant top notes.

Coco Mademoiselle

Chanel is known for their bold, strong scents however COCO Mademoiselle is perfect for teh summer. This scent has a feeling of luxuriance is achieved through two exclusive ingredients that form the signature for all CHANEL parfums: Jasmine Absolute and May Rose Absolute. These delicate flowers bursting with confidence are highlighted by a touch of Iris from Florence.

BURBERRY WEEKEND

Burberry weekend is a lovely, acessiable perfume which is nice to wear in the summer. This scent has heart notes of ivy leaves, sandalwood and oakmoss. The top notes of this fragance is lemon and tangerine. The base notes are Amber, honey and musk.

ACQUA di Gioa- Giorgio Armani

This my favourite summer scent, it is fresh and lovely. The perfume is said to be inspired by distant Islands where Giorgio Armani like to relax and restore his energy. The heart notes are Jasmine, aquatic note, the top notes are mint leaves, limone primo flore. The base notes are Cedarwood heart, brown sugar, labdanum. The scent is aquatic.

FALL FRAGANCES

YSL MANIFESTO

This is my second favorite perfumes, which is great for the fall season. The perfume has a bouquet of Jasmine puctuated by green notes and bold trail combinding wood, Vanilla and Tonka Beans are the signature of this YSL Manifesto scent.  The heart notes are Sambac Jasmine Absolute, Lily of the Valley Accord, Creamy Accord.

The yop notes are Bergamot oil, blackcurrent buds absolute and crispy green accord . The base notes are Cedarwood heat oil, sandal oil bourbon Vanilla, Tonka Beans.

ARMANI CODE

Simple yet sensual, comforting yet captivating. A spellbinding fragrance evoking the same elegance as a Giorgio Armani dress.
